$50K Charity Challenge Celebrity Basketball Game

The stars were out for the $50k Charity Challenge presented by Idol Roc Entertainment, and sponsored by Monster Energy and Live Nation in the home of UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion. Teen Cancer America was one of the featured charities in the celebrity basketball game that helped raise funds, profile, and awareness.

Celebrities that participated in the event such as: Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons, Brandon Marshall of the Denver Broncos, Brittney Elena from MTV’s Wild n Out, Rapper and Academy Award winner DJ Paul, NFL Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson, Instagram sensation “Shiggy”, Hall of Fame Boxer Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, Former WWE Women’s Champion Victoria (Lisa Varon) and television host Maria Menounos were but a few that stopped to take pictures during the pre-game warm-ups.

Hosted inside UCLA’s legendary Pauley Pavilion, they rolled out the red carpet which allowed cancer survivors and TCA advocates to talk with and interview celebrities. The halftime show was also a big hit that featured performances by Tyga, Saweetie and Iggy Azalea.

The event took place the night before ESPN’s “ESPY” awards show in Los Angeles. Several other unannounced celebrities made surprise visits to support the cause.

Many thanks to Idol Roc Entertainment, Live Nation and Monster Energy for choosing Teen Cancer America as one of the highlighted charities. The event was a success and raised around $15K for TCA.
