Team Wyatt Takes Over 2020 LA Big 5K
This year’s LA Big 5K, Teen Cancer America had a massive 67 participants, including friends, family, and Teen Cancer America’s celebrity ambassador Wyatt Oleff, walked to raise awareness on the behalf of teens and young adults facing cancer. It was great to see teens helping teens! Some of Wyatt’s cast mates (Jaeden Wesley and Jake Sim) from the hit horror movie “IT Chapter II” joined this year’s event. This is the 3rd year that Wyatt has walked with Teen Cancer America.
One of the great stories coming out of this year’s marathon was a young cancer survivor, Andy, who was viewing TCA’s live stream on Instagram in 2019. While he was recovering from his Osteosarcoma operation and receiving chemotherapy treatment, he watched from the hospital and wanted to be a part of the action. We are happy to report that not only has Andy recovered, but he was able to join TCA and walked the entire 5K with the group! Congrats Andy! We’re proud that you and your family were able to join us this year!
A very special thanks to the Oleff family for being such amazing supporters! Of course, none of this would be possible without all of our wonderful runners! Thank you and thank you #TeamWyatt!
You can also catch Wyatt Oleff on Netflix’s new series “I Am Not Okay With This.“
